As we know that the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of Hand Washing for reducing the spread of disease and protecting health. As we move beyond the pandemic and into a new normal, it is crucial that we maintain the momentum and move forward together universal hand hygiene.
The Ministry of Education has decided to observe Global Handwashing Day on 15.10.2022 with theme ‘Unite for Universal Hand Hygiene’ to highlight the significance of Handwashing with soap, which is critical for prevention of transmission of the Covid-19. For this purpose, school level activities or competitions may be organized such as painting, quiz, essay writing, seminars/ webinars etc.
