Respected Principal, Teachers, Parents and Students Good Morning to All

“Science never solves a problem without creating ten more”

I am very excited to get a chance to share a few words about the importance of National Science Day.

As you know, ‘National Science Day’ is celebrated in India on February 28 each year. This day is observed to mark the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicists Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman.

Sir C V Raman was an Indian physicist whose work was influential in the growth of science in India. He was the first Indian scientist to be honored with the prestigious Nobel Award in Physics in the year 1930.

His discovery of ‘Raman effect’ or ‘Raman scattering’ is popularly known as the inelastic scattering of a photon. National Science Day is observed to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people. This day is celebrated to accelerate the pace of development.

The theme for National Science Day 2023 is “Global Science for Global Wellbeing”. 

Dear friends, we all know very well that science has given us to a lot of things and technologies. Science is having a major influence in our daily life. India has an important role for contributing to the scientific world from the ancient time. India has great potential in science. Many of our practices have deep-rooted scientific bases. Science plays a very important role in the development of our country. whether it’s technology, defense, machine, science contributes its part in all the sectors.

It helped in increasing the global economy, increase employment opportunities, and also improves the medical status of India.

I am concluding my words by quoting the words of Sir C.V Raman

“Treat me right and you will see the light. Treat me wrong and you will be gone”!

Yes dear students, think like a proton, always be positive in this national science day, it is my message to you.

My Name is Chetan and today I am giving speech on National Science Day.

As you know, every year in India National Science Day is celebrated on 28th February to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by the Great Indian Physicist Sir Chandra Sekhar Venkata Raman.

So every year on the occasion of National Science Day, Speech Competition, Poster Making Competition, Quiz competition etc. are organized in schools and colleges.

There is a beautiful saying that ‘The Science of today is the Technology of Tomorrow’

Honorable Guests and my dear Friends, I am extremely honored to have such a great opportunity to speak about the National Science Day. First of all, warm greetings to all the scientists and science lovers on National Science Day. May the spirit of Research and Innovation grow further in our country.

Every year National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28th of February.

But the question is.. Why do we celebrate this Day ? What is the aim of of it ? Friends, this day is celebrated to commemorate with great immense pride the rich and everlasting contribution of Sir Chandra Sekhar Venkata Raman to Science.

It was on this same day that Sir CV Raman made to the world his greatest invention, ‘the Raman effect’ in the year 1928. He is a great inspiration for young minds. Since then, to respect the invention made by Sir CB Raman, Every year 28 February is celebrated as the National Science Day across the nation. for his contribution in the field of science, Sir Raman was awarded with the Nobel prize in the physics in the year 1930.

National science day is an occasion to salute the talent and tenacity of our Scientists. The celebration of National Science Day spread a message about the importance of science used in daily life of the people and also create opportunities for Younger generation to display their activities, efforts and Achievements in the field of science for human welfare.

This day encourage the people to discuss all the issues related to science and implement new technologies for the development in the field of science. Every year, National Science Day is celebrated according to a theme that spreads the message of about the importance of science.

So this year, the theme of National Science Day 2023 is Global Science for Global Wellbeing.

May Indian science continue to thrive and may our Young minds develop even greater curisity towards science.
