Good Morning Everyone, Welcome to all of you on this special occasion. Today we celebrate World Consumer Rights Day, and I will give a speech on World Consumer Day.
World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated on 15 March every year. World Consumer Rights Day was inspired by President John F Kennedy.
John F Kennedy sent a message to the US Congress on 15th March 1962., In which he formally addressed the issue of Consumer rights.
It is celebrated all over the world to increase awareness about consumer rights. The event also give a chance to protest against the market abuses and social injustices which undermine those rights.
On this day several countries hold events, conferences which deal with human rights. Each year, World Consumer Day adopts a theme to highlight.
We should speak out against any injustice and stand up for our rights. It is a day to celebrate the victory of consumers and their rights.
As consumers, it is our responsibility to be aware of our rights and to use them to protect ourselves from unfair practices.
