Good Morning Everyone. Respected Principal Sir, Teachers and My dear friends. My Name is Vedant. Today we are celebrating 75th Republic day of India, that is why we are gathered here.

I am going to speak few words about Republic Day which is a very special day for all Indian Citizens and I wish all of you a very happy Republic Day !

On August 15, 1947, we declared our independence from British rule, but our nation was still without a written constitution. But on 28th August 1947, the drafting committee was appointed to draft a permanent constitution, with the help of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who is well-known as the father of the Indian Constitution. After many modifications to the constitution, the final draft was adopted on November 26, 1949, and took effect on January 26, 1950, So India celebrates the Republic day every year on 26th January from 1950.

The Constitution encouraged all citizens to have equal social and economic rights. Republic means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only people has rights to elect their representatives as political leader to lead the country in right direction. So, India is a republic country after 26th of January 1950, where public elects its leaders as a President, Prime Minister etc.

Let us also remember the freedom fighters and their sacrifices, who fought for our independence and sovereignty of our country. It has become possible just because of them that we can think from our own mind and live freely in our nation without anyone ‘s force.

In conclusion, I would like to reiterate the importance of the Constitution in shaping our nation. It is a document that defines our rights and responsibilities and it is our duty as citizens to uphold its principles and values. Let us celebrate this day by committing ourselves to building a stronger and more prosperous India.

I am proud to be an Indian where we have all types of Independence.
