CBSE Encourages Student Participation in Independence Day 2026 Activities
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), through Circular No. Acad-38/2026 dated 08 June 2026, has invited all affiliated schools to encourage students to participate in various online competitions, contests, and activities being organized as part of the forthcoming Independence Day Ceremony 2026.
These activities are being conducted by the Ministry of Defence in association with the MyGov and MyBharat portals. The initiative aims to engage school children, youth, and citizens across the country in meaningful and patriotic activities that celebrate India’s Independence Day in a creative and participatory manner.
According to the circular, the contests and activities will be hosted online through the MyGov and MyBharat portals. The detailed features, rules, and terms and conditions of these activities have been provided in Annexure-A of the circular. Schools are requested to motivate maximum participation so that students can actively contribute and showcase their talents through these national-level platforms.
CBSE has emphasized that participation in such activities will help inculcate patriotic feelings, strengthen national pride, and inspire young minds to become responsible citizens of the country. Through these competitions, students will not only express their creativity and knowledge but also develop a deeper understanding of the values of freedom, unity, and nation-building.
The Board has further requested schools to submit the details of student participation through the Google Form link provided in the circular. This initiative reflects the collective effort of educational institutions and national organizations to make Independence Day 2026 a grand celebration of patriotism, culture, and youth participation.
Students are encouraged to take part enthusiastically in these online activities and contribute towards celebrating the spirit of Independent India with pride and dedication.
