Best Speech on World Day Against Child Labour – 12 June 2026

Good Morning Respected Principal, Teachers, and My Dear Friends,

Today, I am here to speak on World Day Against Child Labour, which is observed every year on 12th June. This day is celebrated around the world to raise awareness about child labour and to protect the rights of children.

Child labour means making children work at an age when they should be studying, playing, and enjoying their childhood. Many children are forced to work in factories, shops, farms, hotels, and even on the streets. Because of poverty and lack of education, these children miss the opportunity to learn and build a better future.

Every child has the right to education, good health, safety, and happiness. Childhood is a precious time that should be filled with learning, dreams, and joy. When children are forced to work, they lose these opportunities and may face physical and emotional problems.

The theme of World Day Against Child Labour reminds us that every child deserves a safe and bright future. Governments, schools, communities, and families must work together to stop child labour and ensure that all children go to school.

As students, we can also play an important role. We should respect the rights of every child, spread awareness among people, and encourage education for all. If we see any child being forced to work, we should inform responsible adults or authorities.

Let us promise today that we will support the fight against child labour and help create a world where every child can learn, grow, and achieve their dreams.

Remember:
“Children are meant to learn, not to earn.”

Thank you and have a nice day!
