Respected Principal, honourable teachers, and my dear friends,
A very warm Good Morning to everyone!
Today, we have gathered here to celebrate a very special day — National Teachers’ Day, celebrated every year on 5th September to honour the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping our lives and our nation.
This day is also the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great philosopher, scholar, former President of India, and, above all, a respected teacher. His life reminds us that education is not merely about acquiring knowledge; it is about developing character, values, wisdom, and responsibility.
Teachers are the architects of our future. A teacher does much more than teach from textbooks. A teacher inspires us to dream, encourages us when we fail, corrects us when we make mistakes, and gives us the confidence to try again.
We often remember the marks we receive in examinations, but the lessons given by our teachers stay with us throughout our lives.
A teacher teaches us that failure is not the end, but an opportunity to learn.
A teacher teaches us to be disciplined when nobody is watching.
A teacher teaches us to respect others, work hard, remain honest, and never give up.
Behind every successful scientist, doctor, engineer, soldier, artist, entrepreneur, civil servant, and leader, there is a teacher who once believed in that person’s potential.
As students, the best way to thank our teachers is not merely by giving them flowers or cards. The greatest gift we can give our teachers is to become good human beings and responsible citizens.
On this special occasion, I would like to say to all our teachers:
Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for your guidance.
Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you for helping us become better versions of ourselves.
Dear friends, let us make a promise today that we will respect our teachers, value their guidance, work sincerely towards our goals, and use our education for the betterment of society.
Because a good teacher gives us knowledge,
a great teacher gives us inspiration,
but an extraordinary teacher changes our lives forever.
