The International Olympic Day is celebrated on 23 June all over the world. It was introduced in the yea 1948. Its goal was to promote the participation in sports across the globe.

The Olympic games are held every four years, featuring summer and winter sports competitions, every two year in the four year period. Purpose of Celebration

Olympic Day commemorates the founding of the International Olympic Committee on 23 June 1894 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin.

The Ancient Olympic Games were held every four years at the sanctuary of Zeus in Olympia. The International Olympic Committee is responsible for choosing the host city for each Olympic Games. There are 26 sports in the Summer Olympics program and 15 sports in the Winter Olympic program.

Olympic Games play an important role in uniting the people of all over the world not only athletes but other people of the International community come together and enjoy this festival.
