Honorable guests, teachers, friends and my dear brothers and sisters. Best wishes to all of you on Human Rights Day. Today, on the occasion of Human Rights Day, we all have gathered here. On this auspicious occasion of Human Rights Day, I am going to put two words in front of you about Human Rights Day.

Human Rights Day is celebrated across the world on 10 December every year. The United Nations General Assembly had announced the adoption of this day on 10 December 1948. The main purpose of celebrating Human Rights Day is to make people aware of their rights and prevent discrimination. Human rights means those which are related to the life, liberty, equality, dignity and prestige of the person, which are provided by the constitution or are included according to the International rules and can be followed by the court. In human behavior with humans can seen in almost all society.

Caste, religion, region, race, gender and race etc. are such issues on the basis of which distinction has been made between person and person. A need was felt to save the individual from such inhuman treatment. After a long struggle, the democratic countries of the world have made proper arrangements in their constitution to protect human rights at the world level. Apart from this, the National Human Rights Commission was established in 1993 to monitor human rights.

Along with this, State Human Rights Commissions were also established in many states of India. Both these commissions are always ready to protect the human rights comers to these commissions, they investigate them.

The day empowers and acknowledges the advocates and defenders of Human rights around the world.

The day is celebrated by organizing big political conferences and meetings and by cultural events consuming human rights issues.

Various Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations organize special events related to the human rights field.

Some of the protest activities are also conducted in order to generate awareness among the people for human rights.
