Registration Link of CBSE Reading Challenge 2025-26

CBSE Reading Challenge 2025-26 is an initiative aimed at fostering a sustained interest in reading and offering a unique opportunity to deepen literacy and analytical skills among students. It is a thoughtfully designed to develop not only foundational reading abilities but also higherorder literacy skills empowering students to synthesize information, draw logical conclusions, and critically evaluate the relevance and credibility of texts.

The students from classes 6 to10 of the schools affiliated to CBSE can take part in this enrichment activity. There is NO FEE for this student enrichment activity.

  • Timeline: August, September and October, 2025
  • There will be two rounds of the activity.

First Round of CBSE Reading Challenge 2025-26

  • All participating schools may register for this round.
  • It will be conducted offline at the school level.
  • For details, kindly refer to Annexure-1.

Second Round of CBSE Reading Challenge 2025-26

  • Participating schools may nominate and register top ten performing students, comprising two students from each class (6,7,8,9,10) one each for both English and Hindi categories. (For participation in Hindi language it is mandatory for schools to type student name and school name in Hindi only. To type in Hindi, schools must have “Google Input Tools” installed in their computer).
  • The second round will be conducted online through CBSE Reading Challenge portal.

Language Options: – The Reading challenge will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages. One student per class can participate in one language only.

Categories of Participation:

  • Category I: Classes (6 to7)
  • Category II: Classes (8 to10)
  • Certification and Recognition: – The students participating in round-II will be issued online ‘Participation Certificate’ by the Board. Outstanding performers will be awarded ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ in recognition of their achievement.
