How to Register Online in Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2025
In order to implement mathematics practically in real life, students must possess certain skills and competencies. In a bid to promote and evaluate these skills in an exciting way, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC). The challenge mainly assesses the ability of students to apply mathematical principles to real-life situations.
The learning from students’ performance in the challenge will allow the Board to assist schools and students in enhancing the application of mathematics. The details of the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge are as below:
Stages of the Challenge
The Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) will be conducted in two stages:
- Stage 1: School-Level Competition
- This level will be conducted by the schools. The question paper for this level will be made available by CBSE through its official portal. The download of the paper and the conduct of the exam will be the responsibility of the schools on their own campuses.
- Stage 2: National-Level Competition
- This stage will be held by CBSE in an online, computer-based test.
Eligibility Criteria for Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2025
- Stage 1 (School-Level): All students of Classes VIII to X studying in CBSE-affiliated schools are eligible
- Stage 2 (National-Level): Top three students from each CBSE-affiliated school registered for the first stage.
Areas of Assessment of Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2025
- Assessment to be conducted in the following content and competencies –

Duration of Test, Question Type, and Total Marks
- For both levels:
- The exam will be one hour in duration and will consist solely of multiple-choice questions.
- The whole test will be 40 marks, and there will be no negative marking
Process of conduct of test and Selection for Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2025
First stage:
- Affiliated schools may register from the given link from 19th September 2025 to 30th September 2025 5:30 p.m. No fee is charged for appearing at this stage.
The Registration link of Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2025
- The Registration Link is – https://cbseit.in/cbse/2025/ganit/login.aspx

- The Question paper and answer key will be sent to registered schools between 7th October and 10th October 2025 through the portal.
- The test shall be administered internally by schools using the question paper provided to them and determine the top three performing students. If the same highest score is obtained by more than three students, schools can administer an internal screening test at their discretion to determine the top three.
- The names of the top three students chosen should be submitted by schools along with an online registration fee of Rs.900/- between 15th October and 22nd October 2025. The payment link will be available only for schools that have registered for the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) within the deadline.
Second Stage:
- The Board will conduct a computer-based test for the top three students from every school on 29th October 2025. Only the schools that have completed the first stage shall be eligible for the second stage
- Detailed instructions for administering the second-stage test will be communicated with those schools that have registered students in Classes VIII to X for the challenge.
- On successfully completing the second stage, top 100 students from every CBSE region will be given a Merit Certificate.
Fees for Aryabhata Ganit Challenge – 2025
- Stage 1 (School Level): No fee for participation.
- Stage 2: A fee of Rs.900/- per school is charged. The fee should be paid online by Debit Card, Credit Card, or NEFT at the time of registration.
- Note: Fees paid are non-refundable.
Recognition of Schools promoting the challenge
- The top 10 schools of each region with the maximum number of students participating in Stage 1 will be awarded an Appreciation Certificate by the Board.
