The application form for GUJCET 2020 was published on online mode on 21 January 2020. GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is a public standard Gujarat Entry Test.

It is run by the Council for Secondary & Higher Secondary Education  (GSHSEB) of Gujarat. Successful candidates would be able to get admission to the Engineering and Pharmacy courses after qualifying for  GUJCET 2020.

The courses will be offered in Gujarat state by government and nongovernmental institutions. Here we have provided all the important details of the GUJCET 2020 entry exam, including the application form updates, eligibility criteria, examination dates, examination pattern, admission card, result, counseling, etc.

Here we are providing details about the GUJCET application form 2020:

  • GUJCET 2020 application form has been released on 21st January 2020.
  • The application form has been released via online mode only.
  • Candidates can fill the application form from the website of GSEB. There will not any correction facility after the last date of application form. Candidates must fill the application form carefully.
  • Last date to apply is till 5th February 2020.
  • During the application form filling, candidates have to fill all personal, academic, communication and educational details followed by uploading the images.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • After filling the application, check properly and submit online only. There is no need to send any hard copy to the officials.

Application Fee:

Fee for the application form is only Rs. 300/-. Application fees can be  remitted through debit / credit card or net banking online. The application  fee may also be charged via SBI bank’s e-challan / payment slip.

GUJCET Eligibility

The candidates can be admitted to engineering, pharmacy, and some other diploma courses via GUJCET 2020 test. So for the different courses the  GUJCET eligibility criteria are different.

General Eligibility (Common for all courses):

  • Nationality: The candidate must be the citizen of India only.
  • Residence: The candidate must be a domiciled of Gujarat state.

Eligibility for Engineering:

  • Candidates must be passed 12th class examination from any recognized education board in India.
  • Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics in 12th class.
  • Candidates must secure minimum 45% marks in 12th (40% in case of reserved categories).
  • Appearing candidates can apply.

Eligibility for Pharmacy:

  • Candidates must be passed 12th class examination from any recognized education board in India.
  • Candidates must have Physics and Chemistry in 12th class.
  • Candidates must secure minimum 45% marks in 12th (40% in case of reserved categories).
  • Appearing candidates can apply.

Eligibility for Diploma:

  • Candidates must be passed 12th class examination from any recognized education board in India.
  • Candidates must have Physics and Chemistry in 12th class.
  • Appearing candidates can apply.

GUJCET Exam Pattern

Check the GUJCET exam pattern as following:

  • Mode: The exam will be held via offline mode only.
  • Language: The paper will come in Hindi, English and Gujarati language.
  • Courses: The exam will be held for engineering and pharmacy courses.
  • Duration: The examination will go long to 3 hours duration.
  • Subjects: The questions will come from physics, chemistry and mathematics for engineering courses. The question will come from physics, chemistry and biology for pharmacy courses.
  • Total Question: A total of 120 questions will be asked (40 questions for each subject)
  • Total Marks: The paper will be of 120 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For the right answer 1 mark will be allotted. While, 0.25 mark will be deducted for the incorrect answer.

GUJCET Syllabus

However, GUJCET is the most sought examination in Gujarat state, but there is not any official syllabus prescribed.

For engineering, The questions are asked from physics, mathematics and chemistry subject.

For pharmacy, The questions are asked from physics, biology and chemistry/ subject.

The questions will be asked from the 11th & 12th class syllabus of Gujarat State Education Board.

GUJCET 2020 Admit Card

GUJCET Admit Card 2020 is only issued via online mode. There is no other  offline mode for the candidates to be given the admit card. The admission  card will be released in the February/March 2020 month.

The admit card will only contain the candidate’s important data and information for the purpose of the test. The admit card should contain the  candidate’s name, date of birth, qualification, choice of paper, exam center and exam date.

Candidates are required to bring the admit card to the exams hall. No-one will be allowed to sit in the exam without a passport.

GUJCET Answer Key

GUJCET 2020 Answer key will be released in April 2020. The answer key will be available via online mode only.

In 2 steps the GSEB releases the answer key. The provisional answer key will be published in phase one by GSEB. Candidates can cross-check their responses using the interim answer key.

If they find any discrepancy, they will bring objections against the officials there. The board will release the final answer key once objections have been received.

GUJCET 2020 Result

GUJCET Result 2020 will be declared in the April/May 2020. The result will be available via online on the official site only.

Candidates could have their results checked by entering their application  number in the login panel. The result is released and the GUJCET Merit list  follows.

The merit list will be prepared based on a weight of 60 percent of the  Gujarat board 12th class percentage and a weight of 40 percent of marks  secured in the GUJCET 2020 exam.

GUJCET Counselling

The counseling of GUJCET 2020 will only be conducted online. The  Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) must arrange  counseling.

Applicants will visit their nearest Kotak Mahindra Bank to get their  information booklet and PIN number before registering for counselling.

Candidates will have to register for the counselling process with the aid of  PIN number. Candidates would be able to choose courses and colleges  according to their ranking, merit, and seat availability.

The allotment will be released by considering all given factors.
